Is Social Media a Conversation or a Popularity Contest

It’s funny how people equate likes on social media with being popular. That we need likes, as if we’re still in high school. Personally, I couldn’t handle being the prom queen. In fact, I’d rather stay home and not go to the prom at all. (And that’s what I actually did.) And so popularity might not be what we are seeking.
