City of Dreams (2023) is Politically Correct
I just watched a really great movie, City of Dreams. It’s about a Mexican boy who is deceptively lured to America with his dream of becoming a soccer star. It’s usually a dream or a hope that gives us the strength to keep going in rough times. Because his journey is not easy at all.
Immigration is a really tricky topic. It can’t be discussed in general terms. And if you defend any part of it, you can offend many people. If the wrong people get mad, watch out! Maybe a little more information will help.
If you look at the names on the production team, you’ll see that it’s nonpartisan. It will take intelligent people on both sides of the issue to decide on a solution. Broad strokes don’t work — too general and not case-by-case.
